Hello everybody!
Here’s another Phrasal Verb and this one is TO JAZZ something UP. TO JAZZ UP. Jazz, like the music, yes.
TO JAZZ something up means to make something more lively, more exciting or more interesting. To kind of make it more lively, to liven it up – TO JAZZ it UP. For example:

– I like this room. I like what you’ve done with it. But, to be honest, I think that we could add just a few more details. Maybe a few more colours or something, you know, just to JAZZ it UP a little bit.
– I like your web site, yeah, it looks great! I like what you’ve done with it. But, to be honest, I think we could probably just add a few more details; maybe a few more colours or something, just to JAZZ it UP a little bit. You know what I mean?
– I like the song. I like it. I like what you’ve done with it. I think it’s great, but I think maybe we could just add a few extra details; maybe raise the tempo or something, just to JAZZ it UP a little bit, you know what I mean?
– I like Luke’s English Podcast. I like what you’ve done with it. But maybe you could just add a few more elements there, just TO JAZZ it UP a bit, you know, just to raise the interest…
– I like your dress. I think it’s beautiful. It looks great, really suits you. I like what you’ve done with it, but I think you’d probably just add a few more details; few more colours or something, just TO JAZZ it UP a bit.

I think you get the idea, don’t you, ladies and gentlemen? Just TO JAZZ something UP a bit.
I thought that while recording this episode I would leave my washing machine on, and I’d leave the window open, just to JAZZ it UP a bit, you know, just to give you a few sound effects and things like that, for example. I think you can hear probably a helicopter outside. Can you hear that? I don’t know.
– I just thought, you know, I thought, I like this episode of Luke’s Phrasal Verb sessions. But I thought, you know, just TO JAZZ it UP a bit, I thought I’d add the sound of a helicopter and the washing machine, just TO JAZZ it UP a bit. You know what I mean?

Ok, that’s the end of this one. On the two minute mark right now – goodbye!
