FREE AUDIOBOOK from AUDIBLE

Interested in Claiming a Free Audiobook?
Listening to audiobooks is a great way to improve your English, and using this Audible offer you can download a free audiobook of your choice.

Audible is the world’s largest provider of downloadable audiobooks. They are owned by Amazon the online bookshop, and have a great selection of over 150,000 audiobooks to choose from. These are entire books, read out by actors for your listening pleasure.

Audible would like more people to know about their audibook shop, so they sponsor some episodes of Luke’s English Podcast. I advertise them a little but, they get publicity, and my listeners get a free audiobook. I get a small commission from Audible. I think it’s a fair way to help finance my podcasting work.

Yes, Audible are offering LEPsters one free audiobook download, and a free 30-day trial! Let me explain how to take advantage of this offer.

How to Get Your Audiobook
Visit www.audibletrial.com/teacherluke to sign up for the 30-day free trial.
You’ll need to register as a member of Audible, and they will ask for your card details, but don’t worry about this because:
1. Audible is a safe and trusted company. They’re owned by Amazon, so security and trust are vitally important to their business.
2. You can download your free audiobook and then cancel your membership at any time, and you won’t be charged.
After you’ve registered with audible you can search their library and pick any audiobook you want, and download it.
You can listen to your audiobooks on an iPhone, iPad, android device, Kindle or computer.
After you’ve downloaded your audiobook, you can just cancel your membership within 30 days, and you won’t pay anything.
Click here www.audibletrial.com/teacherluke to register and then download your free audiobook.

What happens if I don’t cancel my membership?
If you don’t cancel your membership, you will continue to be a member of Audible. You’ll be charged a monthly membership fee of $15, which includes one free audiobook download per month. But remember – you can cancel your membership immediately after downloading your first free audiobook, and you won’t pay anything. It’s ok – it’s part of the deal.

How To Cancel Your Membership
After you’ve downloaded your first book, you can cancel your membership if you want to. Here’s how you do it:
Go to your Audible account online.
At the top of the page it says “Hi, Luke” (not Luke, but your name)
From that menu select account details, then on the left it says cancel my membership – click that.
At the bottom of the next page, choose a reason for cancelling and then click continue.
On the next page click continue cancelling and then do it again on the next page (it asks you to click ‘continue cancelling’ two or three times – just keep doing it!
Then click Finish cancelling.
Finally your membership will be cancelled and you can enjoy your previously downloaded audiobook free of charge, and you avoid paying for monthly membership in the future.
It’s even easier if you have an Amazon account.

Do they charge me $1 when I register?
No, they don’t.
Some LEPsters have mentioned that Amazon/Audible take $1 from your account when you register. Yes, they do, but they will repay you. They take $1 when you register in order to check that your account has money in it. It’s their security process. They will return the $1. There are no hidden charges. It’s genuinely free.

I recommend that you take advantage of this offer, and get yourself a free audiobook. www.audibletrial.com/teacherluke
I did it. I downloaded “Revolution in the Head” by Ian Macdonald. It’s an amazing book which tells all the stories behind every song written by The Beatles. It’s a well-known and popular book, it’s read out by actors (including David Morrissey – The Governor from The Walking Dead) and the audiobook version is over 10 hours long! So much content for free. It’s brilliant.

I try to get free audiobook, but it says “Our free trial offer is only available to new customers”. So, I can’t

    • Hi Oleh, have you ever used Audible before? You need to sign up with a new email address.

      • I signed up on Jan 6, 2017. On Jan 8, I got two free audiobooks as a bonus for signing up.

    Hi Luke,

I’ve already download an audible book but I still have a question. I can hear it from iTunes or the mobile app but, how can I read this? I can’t find the reading any where.
Please I will really appreciate if you explain that to me.
    Cheers!

    • Hi Julia, I am sorry but Audible only publishes and sells audiobooks. They don’t come with the text, it’s just an audio version of the book. So – no text. :(
You’ll have to buy an ebook version too if you want to read and listen together. Just make sure the audiobook is “unabridged”.

  • Just a quick tip here. If you like audible but you want to pay less for at least three months, go through canceling process (after this registration) and on second or third page you get the 50 % discount. I don’t know, if they offer it to everyone, but I think so.

    • Sounds good.
So they offer you a 50% discount during the cancellation process as a last attempt to keep you? That’s worth knowing. Thanks for the comment.
