Interested in Claiming a Free Audiobook?
Listening to audiobooks is a great way to improve your English, and using this Audible offer you can download a free audiobook of your choice.

Audible is the world’s largest provider of downloadable audiobooks. They are owned by Amazon the online bookshop, and have a great selection of over 150,000 audiobooks to choose from. These are entire books, read out by actors for your listening pleasure.

Audible would like more people to know about their audibook shop, so they sponsor some episodes of Luke’s English Podcast. I advertise them a little but, they get publicity, and my listeners get a free audiobook. I get a small commission from Audible. I think it’s a fair way to help finance my podcasting work.

But remember – you can cancel your membership immediately after downloading your first free audiobook, and you won’t pay anything. It’s ok – it’s part of the deal.

How To Cancel Your Membership
After you’ve downloaded your first book, you can cancel your membership if you want to. Here’s how you do it:
Go to your Audible account online.
At the top of the page it says “Hi, Luke” (not Luke, but your name)
From that menu select account details, then on the left it says cancel my membership – click that.
At the bottom of the next page, choose a reason for cancelling and then click continue.
On the next page click continue cancelling and then do it again on the next page (it asks you to click ‘continue cancelling’ two or three times – just keep doing it!
Then click Finish cancelling.
Finally your membership will be cancelled and you can enjoy your previously downloaded audiobook free of charge, and you avoid paying for monthly membership in the future.
It’s even easier if you have an Amazon account.

Do they charge me $1 when I register?
No, they don’t.
Some LEPsters have mentioned that Amazon/Audible take $1 from your account when you register. Yes, they do, but they will repay you. They take $1 when you register in order to check that your account has money in it. It’s their security process. They will return the $1. There are no hidden charges. It’s genuinely free.

I recommend that you take advantage of this offer, and get yourself a free audiobook.
I did it. I downloaded “Revolution in the Head” by Ian Macdonald. It’s an amazing book which tells all the stories behind every song written by The Beatles. It’s a well-known and popular book, it’s read out by actors (including David Morrissey – The Governor from The Walking Dead) and the audiobook version is over 10 hours long! So much content for free. It’s brilliant.
