  • Hiroko Nakata

Hi Luke, I ‘m Hiroko from Japan. I was born in the late fifties and I’m a great fan of classic rock. I know The Who, Pink Floyd, Slade, Free, Jethro Tull, and of course Sir Paul McCartney!! I have “record discs ” of most of the tunes you introduced at the end of #414.
I’ve started listening to your podcast 10 days ago, and I’m completely hooked on it. I’m one of the Orion Team now. And today’s episode #414 with your uncle Nic is the BIGGEST HIT for me so far!!

    • Great! Welcome to the podcast Hiroko!

      • Hiroko Nakata

I was not good at catching British English. However, I’ve made a great progress lately, due to your podcast. Thank you very much! I’m not a billionaire, so I can only make a small donation :-(, but I’m going to join the transcription of every single episode. It’s my new year’s resolution.

      • Ptholome

We can donate money but donating our time transcribing episodes is worthy because you are increasing the value of this podcasts. There are a lot of people who take what Luke is given them and that’s it, other say only thanks, other are donating money and others are donating our time. and believe me our time is a big gift for this podcast. Of course Luke deserves it but how many are doing that?

I am glad to have you in our team and I hope you could be with us at the end of this year. Because I pretend to be here too.

        Thank you Hiroco

      • Hiroko Nakata

Thank you, Antonio! My English isn’t perfect and transcribing is quite challenging to me, but I’m glad if I can help Luke, you and the LEPsters, and other listeners. In addition, transcribing episodes can be excellent opportunities to improve my English. So I’ll keep going. Thanks!

Why I laugh a lot? Great question. But I never ask why I laugh so much. I prefer to laugh and that’s it. :)

      • Catherine Bear

You may find some interesting explanations if you follow that path. ;)

      • Ptholome

Do I read also why I am happy to understand why? Or it is okay only to feel it without more questions.

      • Catherine Bear

This one is for curious minds amongst us. ;)

      • Ptholome

        Yes, you are right.

  • Rodrigo Gobbi

    Hi Luke!
I really loved the episode about the Battle of Britain. I like all about the WWII. Those Churchill’s speeches are unforgettable! What a great public speaker! I’d like to suggest you to do a episode all about Winston Churchill, including his disastrous campaign in Gallipoli. It would be very interesting!

    • Ptholome

yes, I love this MAN. in the first season of the Crown he appears though he was too old at that moment. This is a very great BBC serie Luke’s spoken about here.

    • Good idea!

      • Ptholome

looking forward to hear the Churchill podcast. He was an incredible man.
