Plenty of people said that 2016 was a pretty crap year, mainly because of what happened in politics but also because of the number of well-loved celebrities that we lost. But it was a pretty good year for LEP.

In fact 2016 was the best year ever for this podcast.

It got nominated for a BC Elton award, and I’ve had more listens this year than in previous years. In fact the figures have been going up steadily since I started the podcast. For some reason the downloads shot up in September and continued to climb, reaching a peak in December.

Here are some stats for you

Hi Luke! Hi everyone! I’m a ninja LEPster 
I knew about you through a web English teacher, who suggested your website to her followers.
I’ve been listening to your podcasts for about 1 year and I find them funny, interesting and various. I prefer those in which you speak of your trips: I found those about Thailand hilarious!
Don’t worry, I listen to your podcasts from the start to the end, and I don’t fall asleep on my computer because they are really nice! Anyway I would prefer if the podcasts were a little briefer 
Thank you very much for your time and your dedication!
    Greetings from Italy!

    • Thanks for the comment Ilaria, it’s nice to know you’re listening. :)

      HI, Ilaria.

Welcome to this forum, the length of the podcast is like the RUSSIAN JOKE, it comes out again and again and again… and it can’t be solved because Luke likes to speak with his gests and his friends and indirectly with us (through this comments) and finally the technology allow us to continue listening to this podcast at the exact point where we stopped it instantly. And, you know, we must repeat and repeat each audio in order to listen to it and to learn more deeply. So finally we only need to forget the time and enjoy our learning. :)

Ahahah, that’s true, it’s just like the Russian Joke! :D

  • Rong Wei

Hey Luke! This is Rong from China~~~I started listening your broadcast at the begin of this year, 2017 and LOVE it! One of my new year resolution is to use spare time to listen your previous episodes ^^ Nice to meet you and Happy new year. oh, well, I think probably the reason why there are not so many comments from China is your website address end with ‘co.uk’, most cases we need a proxy to log on.

Hi Rong! Nice start of the year! :)
